Edweedo: Tongvan Landscape ArtRaised in the rainforest Edweedo earned his name. Battling to survive his dangerous lifestyle living with wolves he gained his ability to play music to soothe his pack. He then decided to part ways and explore beyond the trees. Entering in this new world another group accepted him to continue his journey of art. Teaching and learning new techniques Edweedo til this day howls through the night in remembrance of his ancestors of wolves.

Marlené: Watercolor Collage ClassBorn and raised in MacArthur Park. Art has always been a way for me to reconnect to my Guatemalan Mayan roots and have a voice when my words can’t capture my truth. Nothing brings me more joy than guiding others into their own creativity which always leads to their freedom and healing. I am currently a teaching artist at the Heart of Los Angeles
(HOLA) and nomadically travel all over LA to paint and give art lessons. I never thought being an artist would happen to me, now I am living a dream come true. |
Dezcjon: Making MandalasAs an artist, I’m blessed to have gotten to a point where my life revolves around art. Being a teaching artist consistently allows me to see the power/impact of art. Despite having seen some success with murals, gallery work & commissions there is so much more I look forward to accomplishing in the art world. Praises to the man above & thanks/appreciation to my family/friends/fans who support.

Mattciej: Making PictogramsI was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and lived here all my life. My parents were both from Polish descent and moved to America to escape communism. At an early age, I began to skateboard, and it opened up a whole new world for me. It allowed me to see the city that ordinary people don’t understand. I always knew I liked doing art, but it was until I got out of high school where I tried an oil painting class. I was terrible in school, but I was excellent in art class. Art has helped me get through the worst times of my life and has given me a purpose, which is why I have always felt the need to give back. Volunteering at events and organizations such as Venice arts and Summer Night Lights with my art collective allowed me to give back and inspire kids to create and be exposed to art. I felt that making art for yourself is great but making art for other people to help them is a significant experience, and most creatives don’t do that.
